With reference to your letter of the 4th instant, we are sending you herewith, 18 experimental Fuses to blow at 30 amperes. These Fuses have fibre barrels and are filled with arc quenching powder and are also provided with an indicator to mark the label when the fuse has blown. The Fuse caps are pressed. With regard to similar Fuses with turned caps, we have not been able to make up a supply of these, owing to the congestion of work in our Machine Shop, but tests on a few fuses made up with odd caps which we happened to have, showed that the fusing current and time would be the same as with the pressed caps fitted to the samples herewith.
