Experimental Department,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr. Leslie.

We beg to acknowledge with thanks receipt of your letter of the 21st instant in connection with the two buffers reference G.84975/6, which have been on test.

These came to hand this morning, and have been subject to careful investigation, and we find that the quality is on the border line, and a better material has since been adopted for parts of this description, in accordance with our letter of April 26th; hence the reason for one rubber collapsing and the other just standing the strain.

It is interesting to note from these experimental rubbers that the adhesion to the metal is satisfactory, and we are confident that with the better quality rubber the design of the buffer in question would give entirely satisfactory service.

Should you so desire, we should be pleased to rubber further plates for experimental purposes, and assuring you always of our best attention to your requirements, we beg to remain,

Yours faithfully,
For THE HARBORO' RUBBER CO., LTD.
Director.
