-2- Re Chapter 2. Article 8. This regulation states that the petrol tank must be thoroughly pro- tected from outside damage from stones etc. Our standard fitting of tank does not conform with this regulation, and if the rule is rigidly adhered to , it will be necessary for us to fit a double bottom to the tank, or else strips of wood packing to the outside. This latter would be the simplest scheme to fit and need only extend over the lower part of the tank. (I would suggest however, that Mr Mackintosh makes enquiries as to whether such precautions are really insisted upon. This rule also states that the tank opening and cap etc. must be pro- | ||
