This is not very clear, as it may mean either danger from explosion owing to the pressure of air in the tank, which would mean that we were safe-guarded by our relief valve; or on the other hand it may mean that it is necessary to fit some form of gauze - as in the Davey safety lamp - to prevent a flame passing into the tank. I think Mr Mackintosh should also make enquiries concerning this point. Chapter 2. Article 11.
