X8783 To EY. from EFC. c. Mr. Brock. c. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/AVS. EFC5/T27.2.28. With reference to the various notices we receive of faulty electrical pieces on customers' chassis, we think that these items should be sent to us for our inspection whenever the fault is not of an immediately apparent nature. We do not of course want to have a large number of failures for examination, but only those which are, say in Mr. Brock's judgement, of a more involved nature. Perhaps we may be a little more explicit and say that we do not want for examination pieces that have failed through some manufacturing defect, as such should readily be determinable elsewhere, but we do want to have for examination faulty parts when the reason for the failure may be considered somewhat obscure.
