BENTLEY CHASSIS - LEAKS FROM THE REAR AXLE INTO THE BRAKE DRUM. --------------------------------- Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/KW.18.7.34. the points raised in this memo have been arranged to be brought in as follows :- (1). The larger scheme of oil drain to prevent oil getting on to the brake drums to N.Sch. 3785 will be brought in at the first chassis in 'C' series. (2). Improvements in central axle housing with the object of retaining the oil in the housing and preventing leakage along the axle tubes. We have got a scheme for this, and we are detailing same at once and will endeavour to bring it on at the first chassis in 'C.'series, failing this it will be brought on at the earliest moment after this particular point of production.
