Personally, I am very relieved to know that you are going to fit the starter carburetter to the chassis having the semi-expanding carburetter, because this question of starting has concerned me very much arising out of my experience with 58-GN. One has not felt that there was the same degree of reliability in starting as with the old type carburetter and separate starting carburetter, and I am quite sure that in very cold weather and in the hands of inexperienced people we should be laying ourselves open to complaints, unless the starting was very much better than on 58-GN. during the weeks I have had it. It has never actually refused to start, but it has always seemed to need "wangling". I note that with the starter carburetter we cannot have the throttle stop, but personally I do not attach very much importance to this. Sg.{Arthur F.
