-2- Petrol gauge flex. We have noticed that the rubber covering of the triple core flexis most unsatisfactory after a short time in service. The rubber rapidly deteriorates particularly where it has to pass close to the silencer on our chassis. We would suggest that if each individual wire is well insulated with good quality vulcanising rubber a cotton braiding would be more suitable with a layer of varnished cambric between the wires and the braid. Will you please look into this matter for us and let us have your comments. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
