re MR.WILLIAM ARNOLD'S 25 HP.TRIALS CAR - CHASSIS No.GNC-56
----------------------------------------------------------

With further reference to your Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}3/KW31.5.34. pointing out that the above customer is complaining of spitting in the exhaust. We replied per EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}17/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.6.34 that he was also in touch with us at the Works on this matter; also that the fault is a general one, has been established as such by the Sales' Meeting at the Works, and is having Design and Experimental Department's attention.

We have this morning received a further communication as per copy attached, which we take it should be recorded in the nature of a complaint.

Evidently the customer is not going to be satisfied unless he has a cure for this trouble. The only definite cure we have to offer is the fixing of the new type carburetter, which is not yet standardised, and even so would hardly be a wise policy.

There may be variations between chassis, but this requires investigation. We have therefore arrange to have the car at the Works, when the matter can have our combined attention.
