No. Patentee. Title.

526,687 L.Lucas Ltd., E.A.Watson Spark-ignition
and A.Massey Allen. coils for internal
combustion engines.

The strips of insulating material between the layers of the windings of the coil are of the same length but displaced sideways each time one is inserted. Thus the extensions of insulating material beyond the edges of the coil are at one end internally and at the other externally conical, adequate insulation is thus said to be provided at the ends of the windings with economy in insulating materials.

526,695 R.Bosch Ges. Magnetos.

A magneto of the type which has a reduction gear between its armature shaft and distributor-and-cam shaft has the distributor shaft and distributor rotor interconnected through a flexible coupling. Breakdown from torsional oscillations is thus avoided.

526,707 A.C.Shorthouse. Piston rings and the
manufacture thereof.

Chromium plated piston ring is formed by making a circumferential groove or depression in the ring periphery, depositing chromium therein and removing surplus chromium by grinding.
