The invention applies particularly to distributor rotors and stators made of moulding material where difficulties of exact alignment are experienced. To overcome these the rotor is made angularly adjustable on the distributor shaft.

526,666 T.V.Hemmingsen Fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines

The pump is operated partly by engine compression pressure and partly by pressure transmitted by a cam mechanism, the former being incapable alone of operating the pump.
The certainty of cam operation is thus said to be obtained but only a light cam mechanism has to be used the cam only requiring to give a small pressure additional to that provided by the engine compression.
