E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hdy.{William Hardy} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Front Suspension. Referring to the main bearing housing G.83142/3, it is understood that though the dies are on order they are not yet delivered. We wish to add three bosses to the bolt face as indicated on N.Sch.4591, and believe that this can be done without difficulty on the dies now partly made. Could this be instructed so that no forgings come in without these bosses. The resulting delay should be slight. We also wish these bosses added to the forging of the main bearing housing of the Autoloc shock damper arrangement (N.Sch.4520) which we understand has been detailed but not yet instructed.
