shall get a slight advantage of clearance of many of these points. We will try, therefore, to joggle the frame upwards as little and as late as possible, but I cannot see that there is any advantage in making the frame longer. It is all dependent upon the position of the back axle, which in its turn, is dependent entirely upon the length of the wheelbase; so that if we stick to our old wheelbase we may possibly give an inch more for the body, and also have no trouble with the triangular stay rod as this has been replaced by a substantial tube which is not of such great depth.
I have asked Mr. Spinnay to let us have the drawing of the new chassis as quickly as possible with the clearances required on it, so that it can be criticised by Lord Herbert Scott, Mr.Oldham and the coachbuilders.
