Phantom III Front Suspension Bearings. With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LES.3/KW.25.2.36, I am in agreement that we should try the increased clearances proposed for the needle roller bearings on the suspension. This is in accordance with the general recommendations of the Hoffmann expert Mr Smith in his I.A.E. paper on this subject given recently in Derby. With regard to the question of protection from dirt, this has been provided for by means of the Perfect seal glands fitted. If these have failed to operate we should like to know why, and rather than fit leather covers we should prefer to make some alteration more suitable for instructing on production.
