The following is a brief summary of the meeting held this morning :-

(1) Martindale has carried out tests which show that SpectreCodename for Phantom III drums are twice as flexible as the Phantom. A report should be issued on this.

(2) SpectreCodename for Phantom III I is to concentrate on clutch and gearbox tests. The gearbox tests are being dealt with by Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} and will be mainly with regard to chunking in the drive.

(3) The clutch tests consist of trying various centre plates and ensuring that the engine mounting does not interfere with the clutch operation. Whyman should be given an opportunity of examining the car. Hancock should discuss the matter with Whyman before leaving for France, and carry out any possible tests at Chateauroux.

(4) Steadman should investigate the position for getting an up-to-date unit in SpectreCodename for Phantom III I so that we can investigate the behaviour of the valve gear.

(5) Steadman should report on the position of an up-to-date set of Tappets for Swindall.

(6) G.W.H. will run the Cadillac fan on his car in France pending the completion of a similar type of fan without rubber by the shop.

(7) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will ensure that any new slipper wheels which are produced for our cars have damping springs of sufficiently low rating so that the slipper wheel poundage is not highly sensitive to a small variation in friction disc thickness.
