Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.7.10.35.

(8) Ratcliffe will get 20-G-IV's head and have it modified for a new induction pipe. He will then fit it to 18-G-IV, transferring 18-G-IV's head to 20-G-IV. ✓

(9) Whilst Whyman is waiting for the engine parts to fit the crankcase in Bentley 5 chassis for the drum tests, bumper bar tests should be carried out on B-1 chassis to ensure that we have the best proportions for stopping front end movement. F.J.Hardy should take an interest in this test. ✓

(10) The Vulture should go into the shop and have the SpectreCodename for Phantom III rear axle fitted for test - Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}

(11) Leslie should push on with the suspension test on SpectreCodename for Phantom III III. ✗

(12) Leslie should see if there is any reason why we cannot send a set of Hartfords to France with 6-B-IV, and also find out whether a set of parts has been instructed. ✓

(13) Hardy and Martindale are responsible for getting sketches out for 3 model Bentley frames. One model should represent the frame for which we have a full scale result with the 2 crosses in it. The other models should represent (1) A Bentley frame on the lines of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III with a separate gearbox and the cross well forward, and (2) A Bentley frame which is the best we can do for the existing engine and gearbox in one piece.

As we do not want to make the frame heavier, it may be desirable to make a fourth model in lighter gauge material. In constructing these models reference should be made to Olley's note on frame stiffness, to the Graham, to the Cadillac, and to the Buick.

(14) Matthews should urge the piston tests on B-2 unit. ✓

(15) Leslie should order 3 sets of thicker type lightened road springs for the Bentley. ✓

(16) Dodd should order Goodrich tyres for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III. Also Royal. U.S. ✓
