To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X7520 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG9.3.27. REAR HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPER. X235 We do not wish to worry you unduly about this job, but the position at present is this - the Works are commencing on a very extensive programme of producing rear shock absorbers. Once they start making them it will be a very long time before we use up those made and incorporate any future modification. We are of the opinion that we shall have trouble with the lever bearings wearing, therefore if we can get a scheme through for increasing the bearing area, we can allow production to work on this and send it for a 10,000 miles test on 14-EX, so clearing the job up.
