Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Experimental Department, Derby. Dear Sirs, Re 20 h.p. Hobson K-S Telegage. We are in receipt of your letter of the 11th inst., and we understand that the proposal for the moment is to fit the gauge in the existing gauge hole in the tank, in a similar manner to that in which the writer's car is fitted up. We are accordingly enclosing print K-S.51-S, being a side elevation of the Sprengel type unit adapted to the existing gauge fitting. We would like to explain that to introduce our unit, the gauge hole in the tank has to be slightly eased out, and the unit itself is set in two directions, so as to avoid fouling the baffle when it is being introduced into the tank. We have a rough template of the position and pitch | ||
