and have wired Paris to send here 2 new covers and tubes, so as to be prepared for further trouble.

The near side head light failed yesterday and found trouble due to wire being cut through in the lamp bracket, now made O.K. This seems to be rather a weak spot.

We were rather afraid this trouble might take place, and much more clearance for the wire through the bracket was given on 7-G-II.
We have also discussed this matter this morning with Mr. Evernden, & he has undertaken to bring the matter forward for consideration at W.W.
Apart from the extra clearance, we feel the brackets may not have been properly fixed, or may have been purposely moved or moved by accident since turning out. We are asking for more information as to the condition of the bracket, and more details of this fault.

Since adjusting the ball joints, s so far, I find the X steering rod is O.K., but the front shock absorber joints are very slack again.

We have had no further trouble with either oil or petrol filters choking up.
The car generally is running well.

The body fittings seem to be a weak job, especially for roads like these. The doors are now a very poor fit, also window frames. It is really a wonder the windows have stood the test so far. (Mr. Spinney said he would like to know how the body-work behaved).
There is rather a bad boom in this body.
The engine is running remarkably well. I have not had a misfire yet, and starting up from cold well in the morning.
