Re: Roy{Sir Henry Royce} Gibson, Esq., Roy{Sir Henry Royce} Gibson Ltd., Grantham House, Putney Heath, S.W.15. We have an inquiry from the above who is anxious to purchase a Bentley with special performance, i.e. one with similar performance to the Streamline but with special two-seater coachwork on the lines of a 12 cylinder Delahaye. We have pointed out that we cannot undertake to supply a car with similar performance unless similar coachwork to the Streamline is fitted. However, he is not interested in such coachwork but only a two-seater body, and he has sent us the attached sketch asking us if we would consider the question. Although he is anxious for improved performance, he does not wish us to guarantee a similar performance to that of the Streamline. Do you, therefore, think it would be possible for such a car to be produced which would be in our interests. If it is agreed that we could supply such a car then no doubt we can get him to prepare a drawing giving more details of the special coachwork he has in mind. He is undoubtedly anxious to have a Bentley providing he can get improved performance. Bly{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} | ||
