We are not able to do this here as we have no car fitted with similar brakes at present.

As regards the body job, I will specially see that your report is conveyed in full to the body fiends.

In what way do you think the French petrol differs from our own? Is the specific gravity higher and do you think the rate of evaporation is worse?

We should be glad to hear from you how the spring shackles are behaving as you will note Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} reports very favourably on these.

We are arranging to have 6-Goshawk-ll fixed up with spring gaiters and also special covers for the spring shackle and dumb irons. Unless these are hopeless, we propose sending his chassis out with these gaiters fitted for you to try out and report on, in the meantime, we may have some more made or some other samples made up by other people.

P.S. We have just received your wire as follows:-

"Platford - send steering levers here direct parcel post unsafe to run Boulogne - bending worse today. Haldenby".

To which we have replied as follows:-

"Have despatched today to Laval pair steering levers direct parcel post.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
