-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.26.4.38. Steering Lever, - to give optimum lock with 6.5 x 16 wheels. Exhaust System - as on B.III. The engine unit which we propose to use for the first car will be the one with the .4 carbon crankshaft and the Vandervelle bearings, after it has run endurance test. A complete specification will be issued for the 2nd engine after the completion of the endurance run on the A.C.9-bearing alloys, etc. Basically, however, except for modifications to the induction system and controls, it will be the same as the engine fitted in B.III. We are arranging to issue a more detailed specification for these two cars almost immediately. In the meantime, we should be glad if you could be looking into the question of getting the maximum amount of effort in order to expedite the completion of these chassis.
