We have this morning tackled the O.S. pivot lubrication, filling up the cavity and cutting out the air chamber on the axle, as we did to the N.S. The results on the N.S. have been very good.

IGNITION PLUGS

The plugs were again examined after a further 7272 miles, the gaps having been reset after the last examination. The HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}3 with the thick electrodes still show less tendancy to burn than the HC3.
The following are the gaps:
HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}3 1. no increase .020
2. one point .022
3. one point .023
HC3 4. one .038, .022 .020
5. 3 points .022
6. one point .025

In carrying out the pivot job the front brake drums were examined. We find they have become badly scored, and ridged since the fitting of the ferodo brake lining, and the increased front braking, before this there was no ridges in the braking surfaces.
