We have now received a note from him as follows :- "Referring to your EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/T20/F41118, since it appears that there is a risk of someone's neck being broken, this matter must be taken up with the utmost vigour. How do you propose to carry out the work in the shortest possible time? If we spend £5000 or £10,000 on it, it must be done, if possible. before the majority of people can get petrol to use their cars again". We propose to reply to Mr.Johnson telling him that we wish to carry out this job on the same lines as the changeover of the steering pivots, cross members, dumb irons, etc. Before doing so, we should be glad to know if you have any comments.
