BY c Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} STD J.S.G. hola Tr{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}/500 IAG/T6.9.37 Re. Chassis No. GRO-46 - David Brown With further reference to the failure of the oil pipe on the above chassis. We have now got the first side engine guard made up to your latest suggestions. This is quite a satisfactory job, and with the side engine guard altered in this manner, we should have no further trouble due to the guard vibrating on the oil pipe. Will RHO please arrange for all the chassis we have in the department to have these side engine guards altered as quickly as possible. Also, Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} will see from BY's alteration sheet that side engine guards on chassis already in customer's hands should be altered when cars go into service depots for other works to be carried out.
