Mrs. Varley,
Glen Cottage,
MAIDENHEAD.

Dear Mrs. Varley,

Very many thanks for your letter of the 22nd, which reached me this morning. It has followed me from Surrey to Hampshire, from Hampshire to Argyll and now back here. Hence the delay.

I fear I can be of little help to you regarding the sale of your car, as our car sales activities virtually ceased at the beginning of the war; but I would suggest that you write a line to Rolls-Royce Conduit Street, marking your letter for the attention of Mr. Henderson, and mentioning that I have suggested you should do so. I am certain that, if at all possible, he will help.

I do hope that, when all this trouble is over, I shall have the pleasure of coming to see you with another new Rolls-Royce car.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
