We further discussed with SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} yesterday the problem of providing cheaply and simply something better than the Lucas dipping switch fitted to the instrument board.

While it was thought that finality would only be reached when the dipping switch was on the top of the column it was agreed that for the 20/25 immediate use the foot switch to operate the dipping reflectors would provide a solution.

It was therefore suggested that Sales (HH.) would discover for what price we could obtain the foot switch in the larger quantities that would be made permissible by its being fitted to the 20/25, and it was also agreed that we should ask Derby the extra cost per chassis of including in the original wiring of every chassis one extra wire going from the base of the dashboard to the front horn each side of the car, with sufficient length each end for wiring up in one case to the foot switch, and in the other case to the electrical dipping lamps, or to the dual filament bulbs of a continental lamp, or in some cases to a centre lamp.

Would Derby please arrange to send Sales (with copy to I.V.) a statement of this cost.
