re AUTOVAC RESTRICTION ELBOW.
-------------------------

With reference to the difficulty complained of in regard to the piston sticking in the closed position, this appears to be due to the fact that the hole for the piston spindle is not concentric with the cylinder bore in the case of the elbows supplied by the Autovac Co.

In regard to the elbows made in our own Works, we do not think that we shall have the above inaccuracy, but of course the Works should pay attention/this point. /to

The sample elbow which Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} submitted, and which was made in our own Works, had a slight tendency to stick due to the fact that the cylinder bore had not been reamed out right to the bottom, therefore we are adding a shoulder to the piston spindle in order to keep the piston clear of this point, and in the meantime the Works should see that there is no ridge left at the bottom of the cylinders after they have been reamed.
