BORG AND BECK CLUTCHES.

During the discussion, while Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was here yesterday, we understood you to say that the cost of the Borg and Beck clutch had gone up considerably since it had been on production.

We should be glad if we could be kept informed of any rise in the prices of articles which are bought from outside and in which we are interested technically, so that we may give our opinion as to whether such increases in cost are justified.

The latest figures we have for these clutches are:-

Bentley. Cost originally introduced 45/- cost to-day 46/5.
25/30. " " " 55/3 " " 55/8

If these figures are incorrect, we shall be glad to know what the correct costs are.

If they are correct, we do not think there is any justification whatever for saying there has been any appreciable rise in the price of this proprietary article.
