Dear Sir,

Tumbler (?) Switches.

We have a distinct impression although we cannot now trace the source, that the correct name for these switches is "Tumler", being the name of an individual who possibly was the inventor of the switch motion, in spite of the fact that the word "tumbler" seems to be almost invariably used.

If you can verify that this is the case, we should like to see this common error corrected in your columns.

Yours truly,

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.
April 10th 1920.
