P.2.SYNCHRO-MESH GEARBOX.

We have had the second Phantom ll gearbox on the road, and the gears, as regards silence are excellent.

The synchro-mesh cones are the same as in the original box. Although the operation is slightly better than the original one, the lever is still baulked considerably by the cam action.

We expect to have the gearbox with the modified cone angles on test in two days.
