would be better to order the stuff required at that date, for the 250 Goshawks.

It was agreed to take the risk and order 250 sets of material, as and when required.

GOSHAWK IGNITION.

Export Department of Sales say they must have a Dynamo and Self Starter on Goshawk II, but they would be satisfied if a combination is provided whereby a magneto can be introduced in place of a battery. If this alteration is going to take place it is most urgent that it be instituted as soon as possible, as it would mean alteration in the Crankcase patterns, which are going into the foundry tomorrow. (This was telegraphed to R.{Sir Henry Royce})

(1) OUTPUT. 40/50HP.

It was agreed that Sales cannot ask Works to give them more chassis than at present, except of the long type.

It was agreed that a dozen of the long type would be enough. Material has already been sanctioned for this, and part of the work done. C. will inform W. as to the types of steering etc. required.

(2) DISPOSAL OF BUILDINGS AND PLANT.

This was struck out of the Agenda.

(3) FUEL CONSUMPTION TESTS FOR STANDARD CHASSIS.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} was asked to get out before the next meeting a return of tests made between now and then.

(4) RE THRUST BEARING ON REPAIR CARS.

This was struck off the Agenda.

(5) PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT IN THE HAND PUMP ON THE 40/50 HP CHASSIS.

He. stated that he had an improved type in the Experimental Dept., and that he would show one to PN.{Mr Northey} tomorrow, which has a longer stroke.

(6) (a) INVOICING UNDELIVERED CHASSIS AND BODIES.
(b) PRICE AT WHICH SPARES ARE SUPPLIED TO DEPOTS AND WHAT EFFECT THIS WILL HAVE ON CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS.

A sub-committee, as follows, was elected to investigate these questions -
D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} My. C. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} (D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} to be convenor of this committee.)
