W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter of the 3rd inst., regarding the bump crown piston which we propose to make for the Leyland 3 1/2" Cub Engine.

We have this well under way, the core box has been produced, and we shall be casting pistons probably today or tomorrow, and in the course of a post or two will be sending you a drawing of what we are actually doing, as a matter of interest. Should you have any criticisms on the manner in which we have carried out the alterations, we shall be pleased to have your views on same in due course.

Yours sincerely,
[Signature: F.Blackith]
