X.4421. c. for Mr. Brock. c. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 3/H22.12.23. re. 20-HP Electric Cutout Failures. We have had one or two cases of erratic working of this cutout with chassis on test owing to the actuating spring of the lever not being maintained in its correct position. On investigation of these cases, we find that the spring is not spigotted properly in the bracket D.50508. The spigotting portion of the spring seems to be too indefinite, and we suggest more attention is given to the correct spigotting of the end of the spring on this bracket. At present this pocket seems much too large and the end coil of the spring can actually find its way into the hole. EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Seen 7/4 | ||
