To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. c. to CLK. X4260 E3/5.3.21. X.1093 (struck through) X.4260 GOSHAWK 11 FRONT DUMB IRONS. Referring to N.sch.755 - if you refer to our memo. E1/G27.1.21 you will find that the stem portion of the dumb iron fitting should be drop forged solid which will make the forging reasonably easy. Instead now, however, of roughing out with a large milling cutter as in E1/G27.1.21 Mr. Royce suggests removing the material by drilling with a flat ended drill to the arrangement of holes exactly as shown in the sketch previously to the profiling operation. Would you kindly instruct this to the departments concerned. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
