( 5 ) REAR TORSION ROD. 27) Spherical bearings insufficient lubrication, became worn in spherical bearings and floating bearing, rattled. 28) Connecting links for Torsion Rod. No lubrication to top spherical joints, very badly worn. REAR ROAD SPRINGS. 29) Lubrication ceased to supply spring leaves, oil holes and grooves filled up with swarth at front and rear anchorages. Riding of Car became very hard. REAR AXLE. 30) Bad oil leak developed from pinion bearing housing. Hand brake rope on Axle chafed on nuts of pinion housing and frayed through. 31) Oil leak down O.S. Axle tube worked its way through the cap of hub on to road wheel. EXHAUST. 32) Whistle developed from snout. 33) Joint washer of Exhaust manifold burnt out. Joint washers of down pipe to front silencer burnt out. 34) Stay from Intermediate Pipe to Clutch housing broke. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS HAVE BEEN MODIFIED OR ARE BEING ATTENDED TO. ENGINE. 1) Petrol supply has not failed during running after removal of filter to underside of frame. 4) Undrilled type of Exhaust Valves fitted, no further failures. 5) With Radiator Grille removed only occasional boiling takes place. This should apply with Radiator shutters. 7) Oil leak cured from rear of Engine, by air pressure supplied by flywheel. FRONT DAMPERS. 10 & 11) Bellows unit turned round and screws for bleeding system made flush with case. No further trouble. | ||
