WRAITH 111 and PHANTOM 111. FRONT SUSPENSION COIL SPRINGS.

Referring to the difficulty in obtaining supplies of the outer coil springs on the Wraith suspension, we propose to grind off the outside of the coils sufficient to give .100 of clearance with the pot all round. This means approximately .100 off the outside diameter of the coils, so that this will become 4.550, leaving a flat on the coil. Similarly, we will deal with the Phantom lll by grinding off the outside diameter to 4.677.

The grinding should be done at the spring makers and the springs sand-blasted after grinding.

The springs will require re-testing and regrading after grinding.

Will you please issue urgently an instruction and sketch of this modification.
