(1) DIPPING HEAD LIGHTS X.4555.

So far as one could gather the scheme we have produced has no drawbacks as far as coachwork is concerned. We understand however that new legislation is likely to take place very shortly in which the moving of the light beam of a head lamp will be prohibited, and the law will fix the maximum height of the beam at the car, and how far it shall extend along the road. Whilst it is realised that this measure may not get put on the Statute, although it is recommendation of the Royal Commission, and that the R.A.C. and the A.A. attended, yet it was thought by Sales that we should not go too far in the matter of dipping head lamps until we had further information. We shall endeavour to obtain a copy of the Commission's recommendations, but in the meantime proceed with the schemes experimentally.
