To Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X8580 EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5/T8.12.27. H.T. IGNITION CABLE. We should be glad to have your impression concerning the durability of our standard H.T. ignition cable on chassis. We think that you may re-wire the H.T. leads of cars more or less as a matter of course because they are considered to be worn out, without considering want of durability of the wires as being of the nature of a complaint. We have some experimental experience of some H.T. wiring which we believe to be better than the standard cable. Though we agree that it is no use having any cable which is better than something which gives no cause for complaint, and though we have actually received no complaints, we think that is only because it is regarded as a matter of course that the cable we have is as good as we can have. We are of the opinion that we can have something which is better in actual results on the car and therefore we are asking for your confirmation of our impression that the present H.T. cable is not everything that it might be.
