and P.11 and he will keep an eye on the job with a view to doing this, when the scheme has been properly tried out and passed as satisfactory.

Item 16 on Agenda. Modified steering controls - NV1/17.9.32. and how soon may we expect to see samples.

He. said a sample was being made for submission to W.W. He. will arrange for this sample to be sent to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} so that he can then pass it on to W.W. with his comments.

Item 17 on Agenda. R.R. Expanding Carburetter and the question of Stromberg patents R3/HP.16.8.32. and Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/20.8.32., i.e. do we infringe ?

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said he was of the opinion that we do not infringe. He said that a complete specification was being put up and Stromberg can object to it if we do infringe. (Note:- E's remark suggests that a patent is to be applied for but it is not clear. Question appears to need further enquiry to clear up the position as to whether we infringe or not before we get too deeply involved. Are not S.U. patents also involved ?)

Item 18 on Agenda. Evaporative cooling for cars - do we want to follow this up for motor-cars as the result of our experience with the War Office job on a P.11?

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said this was premature and cannot be done at present.

Item 18a on Agenda. Petrol Pumps RS{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}2/AD.9.9.32.

Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} stated that the patent position was being looked into and he will report results.
Keep on Agenda for next conference.
