To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1487. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KT.19.12.31. In view of the results obtained on 27-EX by the two S.U. carburetters, it has been decided to try exactly the same scheme on Japan 1 cast iron head. Will you please, therefore, make up a pipe on exactly the same lines, except there will be a hole joining the two halves together in the centre, and we ought to take advantage of the means of conveying the exhaust gas from the cylinder head to the hot spot, that has been provided by the D.O. We hand you herewith 1 5/8" S.U. which will be the size required for this pipe. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
