We should be glad if you could let us have further particulars with regard to (b) i.e. the total cost, and the amount you would allow us rebate. The overall dimensions of our stand were given to your representative Mr. S.W. Knight when he visited our Works. We regret that we cannot allow the batteries to encroach on any more space than at present so that if we have new cells we should like them to fit in the space specified.

Our suggestion that we have a 9-plate cell instead of 11-plate using the thicker positives designed to stand low charging rate fitted into our existing glass boxes, appears to us to offer the easiest way out of the problem and we should be glad if you will let us have your further proposals and suggestions along this line giving the ampere hour capacity of such a battery and charging rates etc.

We hope you will be able to give us, as a result of these suggestions, something much better than we have at the moment as a lot of inconvenience has and will be caused, due to the frequent changing over of the positive plates and we should be glad to/your comments on the above and your
have
proposals as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
