OIL LEVEL FOR TEST UP TO CAP FACE.

150 lbs/sq.in. and the shock dampers lever moved up and down several times under this pressure. If no oil leak occurs at the end of 10 minutes, the gland may be considered satisfactory.

The correct level for the oil in these shock dampers is that of the filling plug F.19058.

If there is any lost movement in the shock dampers after it has been fitted up, this will probably be due to air in the system. An examination should be made to see that the small hole in cap E.74642 is clear and that the three ball valves are all working satisfactorily.

We suggest that during road testing, the shock dampers should be carefully watched for any signs of oil leaks
