PROPELLER SHAFT CENTRE BEARING. B.5.

Please receive G.CD.1389 Propeller Shaft Centre Bearing with increased capacity for grease.

The bearing is the same as before, but the containing cases are sheet metal pressings or spinnings instead of bar parts. The sleeves on the propeller shaft are to have plain circular grooves of Acme section, instead of spiral grooves, but to retain the same propeller shaft they areof different internal diameter. The dimensions of the rubber housing will have to be adjusted to suit the reduced external dimensions of the sheet metal containing cases. It is intended to use the protective discs only if found necessary, and the scheme shouldbe tried without at first the sleeves being increased in length to suit.

Please instruct experimentally with a view to getting on production as soon as possible.
