40/50 H.P. CHASSIS - BATTERIES.
--------------------------------

With reference to my memo asking for particulars of failures of Batteries on 40/50 H.P. chassis, I received a reply from Paris in which they pointed out that the Battery fitted to the 102-MC Paris Trials had failed.

Upon receipt of this information I sent a further memo asking for the Battery in question to be returned intact in order that we could make a careful examination of same in the condition in which it failed.

The Battery in question has now been received, and we have instructed the Stores to send it over to you, but according to the attached copy of memo from Paris it would appear that it had been partly dismantled before our memo was received.

Will you kindly have the Battery examined, and I shall be pleased if you will let me know when it is available as I should like to see the condition of the various parts myself.
