Tyre pressures for the Phantom, comparing instruction book values with test results for balanced wheels.

With reference to BJ9/DN10.9.25 attached. The Phantom Instruction Book gives the minimum tyre pressure for front tyres as [text 'and is' is crossed out] 55 lbs. The car which we left with R.{Sir Henry Royce} (46-PK) is running with a tyre pressure on the front of 40 lbs, the wheels being correctly balanced. The results of our tests show that if tyres are correctly balanced, low pressures can be used. If the tyres are not balanced, then a higher pressure must be used. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
