To: FS{F. Steele}/BJW from JPB c: SF JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary}/WH } for information. JPS & HH 13.3.57 1610 Fine lines or Stripes I have for a long time been conscious of the need for improvement in the colour of our so-called Brick Red fine line. Recently I have come across a crayon on which the casing is enamelled in precisely the shade that our Brick Red line ought to be and I here attach a sample length of the pencil in order that you may have some lining paint exactly matched. Please instruct the new shade to be used in future wherever "Brick Red" is called for in a specification. The name need not be changed but the old colour should be discontinued as soon as possible.
