Throttle Controls B.60 Twin Stromberg.
PL.168.

The drawing shows the simplified controls between the dash board and the induction pipe.

This does not follow the theoretical line of oscillation of the engine unit, but as Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} has requested it and considers it will be satisfactory we will give it a trial.

The induction pipe used is RE.147 but modified by casting on or burning on 2 bosses, one for the bell crank and the other for the throttle spring.

With regard to the drain pipes these are deleted altogether and will not be put on the engine until it is found that they are necessary.

It will be noted that the carburetter is turned round so that when the throttle opens the outside edge of the butterfly valve is on the outside of the pipe.

The operation of the choke valve with water controlled thermostat will be a subject for a later scheme.
