STEAM COOLING. X766

We have heard from CY. in answer to our query,
that they have been running a 40/50 car at Springfield
fitted with the Rushmore Steam Cooling. After 3000 miles
running they report :-

(1) Gear type water pump get very noisy.
(2) Engine detonations increased considerably.
(3) Gland in gear pump blown out by pressure.
(4) Impossible to tell quantity of water in engine.
(5) Lost alcohol rapidly and system then froze up over-night.
(6) Radiator fell to pieces several times.
Have to pull it off to get on with more important
and immediately useful work.
