354 from WHC/GH. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/GH.5/IB.16.11.36. 25/30.HP. and BENTLEY VALVE ROCKERS. Piece Number - EB2588/9. These are forged at these Works at a cost of 10d. each. This includes overhead charges and material. In addition to this, we have to re-sink the dies after 1200 forgings have been produced, and the Tool Room are allowed 168.75 hours for this job. We suggest, that if the Order Office placed an order to outside manufacturers for 2 series, i.e. 200 sets Bentley and 200 sets 25/30.HP., they will be able to purchase these Rockers for about 7d. each. This would mean a saving of 3/- per chassis or 90/- for an output of 30 chassis per week. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/GH. J Hallowell | ||
